I wish I could say Ive never killed a button head....bottom line its a fine deer, fine place to start and fine eating. My first was a button head. Who cares what anybody thinks? I shook harder on my first deer than any Ive shot since. Congratulations.

Dont worry about the idiot , I am new here but I know an izas hizole when I see one keep doing what your doing and I bet the next time you see a button you will let him walk because you will raise your standards.

remington my first bow kill was a 60 lb ungutted button buck or what i call a toe head. i was 20 years old. i never would have imagined i could be so gidy and happy over something like that, not after having killed some of the bucks i have, and i got made fun of for it but man il tell you 1 thing, for a first deer, be it a gun or a bow kill, a toe head, a big doe, a trophy buck or a FAWN WITH SPOTS is gona be something that you will remember for the rest of your life. like everyone else here is saying dnt let 1 ignorant jerk ruin the pride i know you are feeling, as any hunter would be with their first.
as a hunter you have to decide for yourself what makes a shooter. for me it is any legal deer. for others its a trophy rack. that is something you will have to decide for youself. but do not let somebody else make that decision for you

be proud. good job and happy hunting

It may not be big but you will remember it for the rest of your life so don't let what anybody says in here bother you.

Congrats on your first deer.

Nice work... don't listen to that guy putting down the deer. Congrats on your first. That is awesome man. You'll never forget it.
