Information about SCENT LOK
I got this from T.R.Michels' website:

(quote)
Scent Lok claimed (in their former advertising) that their product had "anitmicrobial agents" in it.
Here is an excerpt from the current lawsuit.
UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
DISTRICT OF MINNESOTA
Civ. No. 07-3970 (RHK/JJK)
ORDER REGARDING ANTHONY NEWMAN’S MOTION TO QUASH SUBPOENA
Mike Buetow, individually on behalf of himself and all other Minnesota residents and entities similarly situated;
Gary Steven Richardson, Jr., individually on behalf of himself and all other Minnesota residents and entities similarly situated;
Joe Rohrbach, individually on behalf of himself and all other Minnesota residents and entities similarly situated;
Jeff Brosi, and
Dennis Deeb,
Plaintiffs,
v.
ALS (Scent Lok) Enterprises, Inc.,
Cabela’s, Inc.,
Gander Mountain Company,
Bass Pro Shops, Inc., and
Browning,
Defendants.
… This motion did reveal some information known to Newman, which appears to support Plaintiffs claims, and which would be a proper focus of discovery. The Declaration of Anthony Newman in Support of Motion to Quash Subpoena sets forth Newman’s allegation that Defendant ALS Enterprises, Inc. ("ALS"), admitted to Newman that its clothing did not have antimicrobial, or odor-eliminating properties. (See Newman Decl. ¶ 4.) …
This statment claims that - Scent Lok's lawyers admitted, that their product DID NOT CONTAIN ANITMICROBIAL AGENTS IN THEIR PRODUCT.
And they admitted that their clothing DID NOT HAVE ODOR-ELIMINATING PROPERTIES.
What ????
SCENT LOK (allegedly) admitted that their clothing DID NOT HAVE ODOR-ELIMINATING PROPERTIES ...
So - what good is it???
Just reporting ... and asking pertinent questions.

RE: Information about SCENT LOK
ive heard this arguement before
Its not the product eliminates scents, it just locks them inside!!!!
hense Scent-LOK.
For Scent-Lok to say what they did is wrong, YES, but the product isnt made to cause odor to disappear, its ment to contain it inside the product so it doesnt leave your persons and spread through woods. that the nature of the product.
You have cover scents you spray on the outside to either change the smell of your clothes or nutralize them. The Scent lok on the inside is ment to contain your human odor so it doesnt escape. It doesnt get rid of it, its still there its just contained

Good. Do any research at all on activated carbon and how it works, and you will quickly see that Scent Lok can't work. It absorbs surrounding scents for a few hours after you take it out of the packaging, after which it becomes saturated and cannot be reactivated at temps less than 900 F. Good luck having any clothes left at those temps.

Nothing is full proof against a whitetails nose. The activated Carbon is not 100% full proof and i think people need to understand that, it is just one of many steps the average hunter takes to minimize his/her odor. The carbon might not stop the smell but due to the nature of the product it filters/slows down release of smells. Wearing carbon, along with playing the wind and cover scents, taking showers to clean off are all simple steps the average hunter knows they must do to try and minimize the effects of there smell "stink". but nothing is full proof, but a little help is better then none at all.

RE: Information about SCENT LOK
Lots of jabs at TR Micheals (who is that anyway?), but could someone adress the fact that Scentlok admitted, in a legal document, that they were guilty of fakse advertisement and their product does not do what it claims.
