I talked to my boy, he said $8K for the bull, guide, food, lodging, booze and transport to and from airport. $375 for processing and shipping (horns, cape and meat) back to Houston. The outfitter is Laurentian Outfitters, and the location of the hunt was about an hour and half north of Montreal Canada. Airfare not included.
He said they spot and stalked for several days, up and down small mountains, spotted 6 good bulls and this was the exception. He said the experience was unreal. Oh, and the bull scored 370 B&C

I don't have that kinda cash either, but I have checked from west Texas http://www.magnumguideservice.com/FreeRangeElkHunting.aspx
to Canada and thats what they cost. You can always do what I and many others do and did and go to NM or Colorado, but the chances of a bull like that are slim and none. I shot a 4X5, and am as proud as a new daddy for getting him, but he doesn't compare to that big boy.
