Funny, yet sad story
Couple years ago, my neighbors were hunting their ground, during the IL shotgun season. They hunt a cattle pasture, can you guess where this is going, and theydon't bother to put the cattle up front. That year they had used a Charolais bull and got alot of brown colored cattle. Well just so happened that they ended up getting a heifer that day, and a little beef went in the freezer. Certainly hope you all are careful this year and no what your shooting at. Dont think that ended to well for them! Be safe and good luck!

If you shoot a cow, you got to be stupid. I've had my dad sneak up on me when he's been coming to get me from time to time, and I never shot him, or any other animal except for deer. People need to open their eyes a little.

Had some Hmongsabout 5-6years back shoot a minature horse thinking it was a deer, the sad part is they actually took the horse to one of the registration stations in Neillsville, believing it was a deer. Needless to say they are no longer hunting since rights have been revoked. I think this is the last year I think they got revoked for 5 years, and a pretty hefty fine and had to pay for damages.

There was a story a few years ago in Minnesota, and old guy shot a horse and a girl was riding the horse at the time!! Slugs only in this area, so he couldn't have been all that far away from her.

I know a guy who shot a cow once with a bow.
Now before you go thinking it was accident, it wasn't. The cow was actually "moooo'ed" into bow range.
No B.S.! The farmer told the hunter about an old cow that he couldn't find and couldn't get to come home. So he gave permission to off it.
I like deer meat, but would choose beef any day. I wish my farmer said "go ahead and shoot one of those black and white four-legged animals"! I'd have to vote head shot on this one and save the ribs.
