i had a similar thing thing happen here in ohio the other mornign i had a big eight with 2 does and he kept chasing off this little four pointer so i thought maybe pre rut but idk

No, the rut is not here yet, they are far from being in rut. they do that this time of the year, they start out sparign then as october goes along the sparing should get a little more aggressive.

If heard that if you do some slight tinkling round with the rattling bag or horns this time of year the deer (does Bucks) will come to check it out kind like watching pre - season football games. to see see whos going to have the better team. Don't know but maybe someone as tried it and it worked for them.
