check your state.. SC is mid october to mid dec according to this but my dad and friends claim it as mid oct. to mid nov.

the rut is def. not on... it's still to hot. and the bucks are just now starting to break out of the bachelor groups to establish the dominate men from the boys. but you sure could set up on pre-rut food sources because you will get alot of these bucks stocking up for the rut.
