    I have a passion for American History, especially the Colonial Era...

    I've hunted with flintlocks since the mid-70s and built a .54 for deer hunting back in the late 80s...

    Hawkeye was one of the characters in "The Last of the Mohicans"...Published in 1826 and written by James Fenimore Cooper...
    Like me, he was a crack shot...

    Hawkeye's character was inspired by Daniel Boone...

    I live in North Carolina...
