I shot the buck around 730 in the evening about 30 min before dark. I saw the first deer about 5 o'clock and originally was going to shoot a doe because I like to save my buck tag for my bow, but I saw a buck at about 530 that was a borderline shooter and decided that I might get a crack at a big one come dark over this waterhole. Everything worked perfect and at 730 the buck presented me a 70 yard shot that I couldnt pass up. I saw more bucks and deer in 85 degree weather in September than I do alot of times during the rut. The key is finding a secluded water hole during this kind of heat....It attracted the deer just as good as a hot doe!

I think he prolly 130's w/ spread, this deer should of lived for another two or three yrs he had awesome potential, kills me people dont give deer a chance to mature. This is a ks 8 point that i let walk three yrs in a row and now look at him

WOw
TO be honest, if an 8 point walks by me 3 years, he will have had 3 bullets thrown at him. You know alot of places, if you see a buck, you better shoot cause it'll be your only time to see him

Really nice buck, I like how his main beams curl and I love and form of forked brow tines.
