What do you think this little guy is? Coyote or fox?

i think itsa coyote its hard to tell..ill copy and paste some pics to compare. There isa chance that its a young deer..the way the tail looks to me..

The tail is "bushy enough” for a coyote too. Not too sure what that even means, but there really isn’t enough in that picture to say with 100 percent certainty. I would lean toward coyote.

ide say coyote. i think if it was ayoung deer its kinda early for such a thick coat..to me the hair seems thick and coarse. if it was a this years fawn i would think you would still see a hint if a row of spots down the bak straps

Its a red fox, I have one that comes into my yard every night.

yote...that would be one huge red fox. I have 3 or 4 of them that run around outside the house every night

The underside of the tail is white tho. How many fox have white under their tails? And it doesn't look long enough or thick (bushy) enought to be neither a fox or coyote.
I think it's a deer, but a smaller one, although not a fawn. That tail just looks too deer-like to me. If it weren't for the tail, I'd guess coyote, but I really believe it's a deer.

like i said in the earlier post..i think its a small deer..like this one..again..note the tail...thats all we can really go by..

Sure seems like a lot of you forget that it’s SEPTEMBER, not January. I don’t know where the picture was taken, but anywhere there are deer, they have extremely short hair right now. To me, it doesn’t even resemble the body of a deer, but the long fur is a dead give away that it’s not a deer.

As much as youd say fox, I think it has to be a deer.

I would say fox. I think the tail is to long, and the hair is to thick to be a young deer.
