RE: API Treestands
One thing I didn't mention, the heat shrink tubing does stink. I replaced it with regularvinyl tubing that you get from home depot and that has lasted me for the last few seasons with no sign of wearing out any time soon. You have to pop out the plastic bushings in the stand for the vinyl tubing to fit, then you're good to go.

RE: API Treestands
I have been using the API bowhunter for a long time. Maybe 10 years. Liked so much I got my wife one. She likes hers too. Heck, got rid of all my other stands.

RE: API Treestands
I have 2 grand slams and i love them. There fairly quiet to climb and they are very comfortable to sit in for hours. Great stands

RE: API Treestands - shrink tubing
ORIGINAL: bowman15 . . . I just replaced the heat-shrink tubing on the chains a couple weeks ago. It's not too heavy at all, and I do some hiking when I'm hunting. . . . |

RE: API Treestands
I have been using the same API Bowhunter since they first came out. I have left the ground before sun up and not come down till after sundown.I pack that thing in every day all deer season. Most importantly I have killed a truckload of deer out of it.
