I missed the first deer I shot at. I was 13 years old and someone else shot 5 times real close so I got ready and here come a small buck running so fast I had to swing my shotgun as I shot 4 times. I also missed my first bow shot on a standing doe at 10 yards.

Yep... a 6 point... in '89. Only year I used a Tree Stand... and a 30-30.

yep i got a nubbin when i was 14 back in 1995 with a 30-06, and a doe with my bow in 1997, but then after that i missed 3 smaller buck with my bow only to have gotten the last 3 bucks i have shot at with my bow...i did miss the last buck i shot at with a rifle this year...a huge 8-pointer...i still have nightmares about that day

yes and then it took me and a buddy three hours to find him . I was beginning to worry a little them there he was.

Yes I killed the first deer I ever shot at. It was a spike buck 33 years ago. I shot it 3 times with 12 gauge 00 buck in front of hounds.

Yes, about 35 years ago. Also got the first deer I shot at with a bow 3 years ago.

First deer, first hunting year, big, big buck. Missed him clean, three times with a 30-30. I have a good excuse though, he was far away...10yds! Can you say...BUCK FEVER!<img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>I did redeem myself with my first archery shot...5 point buck, when I was 14.
