No, I was 9 and my dad gave me a old military 8mm mauser to shoot.We were poor and thats all we had.It weighed like 15 lbs and the big top safty took a hammer to operate.Missed big time.

Yes I was lucky and shot a 5pt. that my dad had tracked to me.I used his J.C. Higgins 12 ga. and with how big it was, one shot was all I could get.I missed a few after that.

I missed the first to I was hunting in OHIO with my dad and some family and friends.I missed a 10pt it ran right to my dad's friend and he missed it to.

Well I am batting 500 on first shots, my first shot with a gun I killed a doe, my first and only shot with a bow was a clean miss.

Yeh, right, ahhh, not exactly, ahhh the sun was in my eyes, whatever, ahhhhhh..., I was just practicing, I didn't want to ruin an arrow by getting it bloody, I'm selective. Really.... I was stump shooting<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yes, a forkhorn and I was proud as I could be. I shot from a kneeling position in the brush and didn't know I'd hit him for the smoke. I'd dropped him immediately. Actually it was one of my cleanest kills.
