Default Stand Set-Up - What do you think? (Pics)

Got my stand set up at a new location this weekend. It's in between a small ridge and a swamp. Here's a topo map of it. It's the X and faces the swamp

The next picture is the view from the base of the tree my stand will be in, looking at the swamp. Notice the trail in the middle?

The next picture is looking down the corridor between the ridge and the swamp. My stand would be on theright and the swamp would be on the left

Last picture is my stand (with 6 year old checking it out) from the woods between the swamp and the stand.

I'm hoping this will be a funnel for deer moving from left to right and vice versa. They would find it easier to navigate this corridor than to go through the swamp or climb the little ridge and plow through the overgrown stuff. I'm hoping

Will you be able to see across the swamp at all from your location?

Yeah. When the leaves come down and I trim some shooting lanes, it should be almost like looking at a small, overgrown field. At least I'm hoping. There were a few deer trails going through the swamp. Plus, tons of blueberries around the edges. We can shoot a bear the first 3 days of buck season .

Thanks. Haven't shot a buck since 2004. Might have to settle for any legal buck this year. At least I've got a doe for venison in 05,06 and 07. Never had to go hungry.

Are you going to be too exposed when the leaves fall? Is this a bow hunting or gun hunting stand? Is the prevalent wind direction good for your stand? I like to put a tree in front of me when possible.
