Default Interesting trail cam pics...

We had been seeing a few bachelorgroups of mule and whitetail buck hanging around our place. We had been seeing them almost every morning and evening. But, hadn't been able to find where they were bedding. The other morning I bumped them out of this old loafing shed. So I placed the trail camera in there to catch some photos of them. Pretty cool to see their habits while they are relaxing. They ran my camera battery dry so I replaced it tonight. I am hoping to get some better picture of the biggest buck. The larger buck of the group will be the one my wife is after with her bow this year.

Hope you enjoy....

Wow! I got some old buildings like that where I hunt. Maybe I better do some better investigating. Good luck on those deer!

This is the first year I have seen mulies using the mansion. Every year it has been whitetails so far. It's seems odd to me as there are several very large cottonwood trees in the general area of this shed. So they have plenty of shade to bed down in. Why they choose to sleep in the shed is beyond me. The deer just seem to love bedding in there. They always show up about mid May with buttons on their heads and stay thru the summer. Then they leave out about the first week of September with full racks. We often see them feeding in the yeard and pasture near the house. It is pretty neat to get to watch them grow. They all will have names at some point.
