Default Question: The Biggest buck you ever shot !

Your in your stand and the biggest buck you have ever seen or shot walks out and you don't have a good shot.......he begins to walk away and his horns are mosterous, the ones that you dream about every time you climb into your stand........the horns of a lifetime, the only shot you got is a straight on walking away shot..........(the shot all the diagrams tell you not to try) at 100 yards. He has almost reached the woodline.........
Would YOU take the shot ? Back ? neck ? butt ? or No ?

If I was hunting with a rifle I would take the shot. A hundred yards is not that far for an accomplished shooter.A large caliber rifle would easily penetrate deep enough to reach the liver/heart/lungs.

I'd say you have to pass him... Although I would try to make some noise to get him to turn... Probably long before he got to 100 yards...

Same here. Do it right or don't do it at all.

I would shoot him in the back of the neck and try and blow out his spinal cord. You can always get a new cape.

Ok Rory now your nit pickin, come on man we are all brother with a passion........horns, antlers, bone, calcified mineral, i think you get my point......
My brother in law had this happen to him and he passed on the shot. I was crazy thinking he should have shot, but then I thought maybe I wouldn't take the shot. I would hate to go against everything i was raised not to do and shoot him in the azz you know.........great opinions.
