My first few years of deer hunting, I used a Remington 700 ADL .30-06.
A few years ago, I switched to a Remington 700 ADL .243.
This year, I'll be using a Remington 700 BDL 7mm Rem Mag, using Remington's managed recoil rounds.
Next year, it'll be back to the .243...

Ruger .270. Killed all of my deer with it in (other than Illinois) and have only lost one which I years later am still unsure I hit. Started using that Federal Priemium Vital Shock in the 150 grain a few years ago, loved it. Saw the effect it had on a couple of my buddy's deer in his 30-06 and switched to it. My deer have since been either dropping in their tracks or leaving me with a short blood trail that looks like a garden hose with red water.

Tikka t3 lite .243 Win w/ Burris Euro Diamond 3-12 with ballistic plex, is my go to rifle for everything from ground squirrels to Deer.
I almost always have my Stainess 6 inch Smith and Wesson 686 7shot .357 magnum on my hip or in my pack while in the mountains also. For finishing shots, self defense, etc....
For Elk I use a .300 Win mag, just sold my remington and am looking to replace it with a stainless tikka t-3 lite.
My 10/22 gets allot of use also, butler creek stock and carbon fiber bull barrel, volquartseninternal parts, Burris 3-9 with ballistic plex.

This year will be the 80# Hoyt Katera.
I do have a Remington 11-87 with rifled slug barrel, Remington 700ADL .30-06, a .243, and the good ole Colt Anaconda .44Mag for backup.
