How much will gas prices effect your deer hunting this year?

well I suppose I am one of the lucky ones who will not have to travel to far ..my lease here in west Kentucky is about 30 miles from my house so it won't be to bad ...but BAD enough !

yeah, the lease i'd been on for the past few years was 6 miles from home. The owner sold the place. Now I'll be hunting a much better property but its a 4 hour drive. I still have a couple of places close to home but they don't have the same potential.

Deer hunting won't affect me as I only need to travel 30 miles round trip. However, Moose Hunting is another story all together. With a 1500 mile round trip, it is going to be extremely expensive this year. Last year @ $ 4.08 / US GAL it cost $ 680.00 in gas alone. This year @ $ 5.17 / US GAL (at present time) it won't be pretty. Fuel prices will kill my moose hunting in our preferred area. I'm going this year only because we had committed to going. Next year is out of the question.
Who need's Anti's when we have fuel prices like that.[:@]

If I don't get any extra $$ coming in soon.
I might be living in a card board box. [:@]
The Gas companys don't have to worry about how they will pay their house paments and all the other bills.
They make so much money they don't even have keep up with how much they are paid in a year.
I bet they get more in one hour that most of us get in a couple months.
And jobs are getting harder and harder to find.
I hope every one else here can do better.
Im not even sure I can even go hunting any more.
I hope I can come up with something before the season starts.
