Well I ran him over. He was busted up really bad. I'd guess there wasn't much good left realy. I full out ran him over so his back half was no good for sure. The front wasn't much better. I'd guess him at around 100 feild dress weight of which you'd get maybe 40% on a non car hit deer. I'd guess you'd get far less than that on him. I realy doubt I could have got much. Plus the butcher I use is shut down after season. So I would have had to do it myself which would have been fine if I was setup for it. I would have probably taken him if I had the setup.

Check with your police or Department of natural resourses about taking one hit by a car in your state. Most places require police to give you a tag (deters people from poatching and calling them hit by a car) I'd guessyour state is similar.

The DNR here in Minnesota will take road kill to the butcher and put it on the food shelf for the needy if the person who hit it does not want it.
