Most Important Feature for Taking Big Game with a Gun?
Was wondering what is the most important feature for taking big game with a firearm?
Is it the velocity of the bullet when it hits the animal? Is it the bullet's weight? Is sectional density more important, ie for penetration? |

ORIGINAL: superstrutter Being able to put the bullet in the right place;) Slow velocity, terrible sectional density, plain old lead with no jacket and not enough energy to impress anyone...But put through the lungs on a whitetail, it drops them just as fast as anything you can use...;) |

Even a silver bullet from the lone ranger couldn't do the job if it's not placed in the right spot. This one is a no brainer.
