    If that is a heat vent above it's head I'd move it or close the vent.

    I was thinking the same thing it will put a lot of dust on the mount and may dry it out and start to crack the hide especially if it's being recently mounted, It would look good on a pedastal.

    I had already closed the vent but thanks for the advice. I will be moving in a few months so it is just there temporarily.
