How wide do you think he is?

RE: How wide do you think he is?
I would LOVE to show some pictures with me putting a tape to him!
I really think 22" is about right. I've always heard 14" ear to ear and that the ear itself is 5 or 6" long. Using that as a guideline if you say there is at least another 1/2 of an ear to get to the inside of the antler that would get you to 20" which I think would be the conservative guess. I really think you could go 4" on each side plus the 14" ear to ear which would get you to 22".
I would also love to find his sheds this spring because I think that might help judge how big he is also. In several of the pictures it looks like his G2's are short but I think they are more like 8" or so and if you go with that then you could almost say that 3 of his G2's would fit inside his spread so that would be 24" inside spread.
I think he is about at his prime so not sure if next years set of antlers will be even bigger or not.
I would love to find out. I have 1 set of pictures of him during the daylight during the hunting season, but I'm getting WAY more pictures this spring after actively managing for deer for a full year when the previous owner of the land hadn't done anything to attract deer in the past.
Interesting to see the guesses.
