Default Mount times

What is a good average that everyone waits to get their deer head mounts back?

Taking in account a few variables like...
How busy the taxi's is (10 heads or 150 heads) or if they send the capes out for tanning or do them in-house, etc...

I've talked to numerous taxi's and they all seem to have differant methods and times.
Anything from drying times - to tanning, etc.

For me this years deer was shot @ the beginning of Nov, and I am told, Apr-May to complete mine, which is one of the taxi's 1st to be completed.

I was told I mine would be about 8 months. Then again the fellow who's doing mine is the best in a wide area so he has several to do.

Dang, not sure I could wait that long. I shot mine in Nov it should be done in june/july

I'll wait if its a realy good job. Epecialy for a realy nice buck. I'll spend the extra money and wait for a mount that will look nice and last.

Any good taxidermist is a year behind. That shows he has business and is probably very credible. I had a shop for 5 years till I got divorced and u know what happened there and I was a year behind and was very busy
