Default Colorado deer

I was wondering if anyone has any information about how the Colorado deer herd is doing since the feeding program was started recently. Are there certain areas being hit harder than others? Are there areas expected to have extreme amounts of die off? I'm hoping to get a tag there this year but I don't want to draw an area that is way down because of winter kill. Any information on winter kill or areas that would be good to put in for would be greatly appreciated.
