Default MZ scopes

Nebraska resently pasted a law allowing magnified scopes on muzzeloaders, I was just wondering how many states allow this and what everyone thought about it?

In Wi you can have a Red Dot scope on you rmuzzle loader during muzzle loader season but not a magnified scope, but during the regular 9 gay gun hunt or HRZ hunts you can use a magnified scope.

Illinois allows it and I'm glad for the same reason. I've had cataract (sp?) surgery and although I see fine I had to go with bifocals. I can't see the front and rear sites the same anymore. I put Nikon Pro Staffs on my muzzleloader and slug guns.

I think states are split on this subject, some states are more of traditional style muzzleloader, they don't want inlines etc....and no scopes...other states, if they allow mondern muzzleloaders, they often times will allow a magnified scope. I think if you allow modern muzzleloaders, you shoudl allow scopes. if you're a traditional flintlock etc...style state, then I dont really see the point of a scope, other than a 1X maybe. Some staties allow 1X which can be nice to look through vs. rifle sights. I don't really know, if I ever get a muzzle loader it would be a modern style, so I would wish everywhere allowed inlines/with magnified scopes.

Michigan allows anything except a Laser that projects a beam onto the game.
