This may have already been asked, but do most of you hunt private or public lands? If some of you hunt public lands, got any pointers? Right now I only have access to public land and this year it got really crowded. I am going to check out some new areas and hope I don't run into the same problem.

Scout... use google earth and look at the surrounding areas and get escape routes and walkways for deer....

I hunt private land. My advice for you is to find places that look good for deer and start knockin on doors, sooner or later somebody will say yes.

Ive had plenty of success hunting public land here in nebraska. I just go deeper into the woods than the rest of the hunters and with my trusty lone Alpha hang on, I can go where no man has gone before.

mostly private ,but when hunting public i leave just a little earlier and walk into the thickest and farthest place i can ,to get ahead of the lazy hunters.

Hunted public land a few times, the last time I was almost shot by a turkey hunter. Scared me so much I broke down and bought my own land. Best decision I ever made! paid off now and it is all mine!
