RE: Ideal Ladder Stand Height

i've bought quite a few from cabela's that are 15 ft at the shooting rail,i rather them a little higher,my homemade version that is 16 ft at the floor base seems optimal for my edge hunting preferences, works good for bow or rifle.

Good background cover=15 feet or so

Poor background cover=20+ feet

I would agree. Although it depends a lot on the area, you will have better cover down lower where I hunt.

RE: Ideal Ladder Stand Height

my ladder stand is 16 feet which is my lowest, and my hang on is 28 feet. I'll go as high as i can being comfortable and being able to shoot that high without getting scared or anything like that..
