RE: rotten deer?
only one way to find out , gut it , clean it , and smell the meat , bad meat will have an odor to it that you won't mistake for good meat. We cut 100- 150 deer a year my grandfather and myself , and you can tell the one's you wouldn't want to consume , and we advise the people of that also !

my dad shot a 7 point buck tuesday (11-27) and he tought he missed due to no blood found and no hair,yesterday(11-29) when he was hunting he found the buck that he "missed" and beingtwo days old itsmelledrank and the guts were all mush....Getting to the point I was just wondering if you think that i should even bother trying to salvage any of the meet.
