Okay. I heard that if you make popcorn with no butter or salt that you can actually use it as bait and the deer will eat it. Is this true?

It is technically a type of corn...so I guess I'd believe it. But that's alot of work for a bait. And how would you keep it together in a pile without it blowing away...or having squirrels and birds eat it before the deer found it?

Yea that is what I said to the guy. I personally don't believe it but like falconwolf said, it is corn.

I haven't heard of using it for deer baiting but when i hunted black bear in northern wisconsin, i used it all the time as a filler. Not sure how well it will work for deer but wouldn't hurt. Good luck

I hope they don't eat your trail into the woods so you can find your way out (lol).
