The rifle is a Finnish M-39 which is a Mosin Nagant manufactured in 1970. I used a 203-grain soft point with it. I took the shot around 10am after 5 minutes of waiting in a clearing in some thick woods. There was a light snow/sleet drizzle but it wasn't very windy or cold. The shot was a little high but still in the vitals and very humane.
Hanging the deer up was my dad's doing, he's not a hunter and he figured hanging it up was the next step. I got it to a processor about 30 min. after the pic, maybe next year I'll process my own.

nice doe, my first was a doe as well. you will always remember it. just a little tip tho. when you hang your deer, hang it from the back feet it will be easier to skin out and you won't get crap about hanging it by the neck, but whatever works for ya everyone has their own ways of doing things
