haha! sounds like you are in a heck of a predicament.. i am only 18 years old so i wouldnt have the slightest idea of what you are going through, but i do knw that i cannot stand the thought of not being in the woods during the rut, best of luck gettin into the woods and i hope your baby is healthy!

man, her folks would be here, but we live 8 hrs away.....hopefully Im not deployed next year like I have been for the last two ruts....finally get home for one and bang......well I guess its my fault... I was in the rut about 9 months ago.....

My buddy thought it was funny to call me on my cell
when I was in my tree stand to tell me she was in labor.
I dropped from the tree and ran to my truck to
see him standing there laughing.:D

Enjoy the birth of the baby, there will be many more hunting seasons to enjoy. Just think, in 6 or 8 years the baby will be enjoying hunting with you, and in 25 or a few more years the grandkids will be coming along. It is a vicious cycle.

A friend on my Uncle got a divorce over that very situation. He was in the woods when his wife went into labor. I guess he finished his hunting trip before coming home and she wasn’t very happy about that.

Ah haaaaa Hick, Yea man it was nice, cold, and brittle this morning. I was driving to work thinking how much I would love to be in the woods. I'm going tomorrow night just after work. I can't go this Saturday. I schedule out my hunting day's with my wife so I have a good balance between obsession and family. I planned next Saturday to be my all day rut hunt. According to weather.com it should be good hunting weather then.

Aw... Congratulations on a new baby on the way. Next time I bet you'll think ahead on the timing issue :). Too bad she's due so soon, the first time I went hunting I was out there 7 months pregnant lol, no wonder my son loves hunting! Ive been taking her hunting, shes become somewhat obsessed like I am...shes just to uncomfortable to go now....I told her Id bring her a blind and a nice comfy yard chair, she actually thought about it....till the contractions started again....however I have permission to hunt sat and sunmorning(she should still be sleeping....because her mom is coming up this weekend...maybe monday too...good nice long 4 day weekend....wish me luck....

Like one guy said I think itd be awesome if Im standing in thedelievery room all cammoed up and smelling like Good ole Tinks 69.....still wearing my orange vest....

I found a little realtree infant outfit, thats what the baby will wear home, Ill post pics when it happens....lol
