Some of the states that require "solid" orange for hunters take a very hard line on that rule. Although Covert Orange appears solid at a distance of 30 yards, the high intensity UV dye overlay is visible to the human eye when viewed up close. We submitted samples to all 50 states and some replied positively while others didn't.
In time, we believe all 50 states will approve Covert Orange. In the meantime, our vests are reversible to solid blaze orange. Our hats however, are not reversible.
