Please lift up your prayers for a young man named Morgan. He is a Missouri hunter who was looking forward to this season very much. Friday night (Oct 19), during a high school football game, he was severely injured. Morgan's neck was broken. He was air-vacced to St. Louis for surgery to remove one of his cirvical vertabrae and to remove a bone fragment from his spinal cord. The surgeon said the operation was very successful however, Morgan still has not regained any movement. He has feeling but no movement. The doctor's suspect when the swelling goes down, he will regain his ability to move.
Thank you for lifting Morgan and his family up in prayers.

I hope for the best for Morgan and his family. I had a son play 13 years (youth-high school) and was lucky he never sustained major injuries. I will keep him in my thoughts. Please let us know as he improves.

As ahigh school football official of 15 years, that is one of the tragic and unfortunate truths of the game, no matter how much they try to keep the head and neck injuries to a minimum. I've seen my share of these all too familiar injuries and it never gets easy. Tomorrow night I have a WI state playoff game in Greendale, WI(Milwaukee) and this young man will be on my mind.
Pray for a speedy recovery and keep us updated.
