what do yall do with the remaining deer carcus after you butcher your own deer? especially if you live in a highly populated area and not out in the bounies where you have acres to put it on? i know animals will eat it all, but do you guys have a special place to put the carcus?
I remember when i hunted in WV, they had big 55 gal drums on side of the road painted orange and said "deer carcus" but i dont see them around here. thanks alot

Please do not do what all the slobs around here do and just throw them out along the road. Legally, the landfill won't accept them so it really is a problem. Some deer processors will accept them if they get their own carcasses picked up by processors who make chicken and pet feed.

At home on the farm, they get put in the bucket of the Deere and we haul them off to a hole we have dug for that purpose....
Locally, I butcher on the land that I kill them on, leave it in the woods...I do carry the deer a few hundred yards away from my stand area...Just find a good tree and use your climber to hang the deer on (make sure you strap it good to the tree)....Or, find you 2 trees about 4-5 feet apart and screw two eyebolts into the side, take a couple of rachet pulleys and pull the deer up to clean....
Just carry your cooler in the truck, throw the cuts in there and pick up ice on the way home...
The remains will be gone within a week...
