Default 1600 "mistake kills" statewide in Pa

Just saw a report where there were 1600 reported "mistake kills" during the current deer season. Of that 200 were fined $500.
After seeing those numbers I believe some of the sob stories people have tried to pass off about getting the larger fine deserve a little more scutiny. They probably deserved them if there is any truth to those numbers.

1600 mistake kills is unbelievable. If that is a true number.

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I'm with 1950 on this one. At least you have 1600 honest guys.
I bet there was at least 16,000 that went unreported.

Good Luck. Capt Brad.

Just another example of people not knowing there target before shooting. They just see a deer and shoot then look at what it is.

You PA folks need to start looking for the &quot;hanging&quot; chads, not the &quot;indented&quot; ones. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

No guys, Ruddy's not talking about shooting does in buck season..PA went to antler restrictions this past season. In certain counties you had to shoot 6's or better, In others 8's. If you thought you had an 8 and the GW thought it was a 7, you got nailed. In a state where there's 300,000 plus killed, 1600 ain't too bad. Next year I bet there isn't half that many. Most of those dudes thought they were gettin fined $25 bucks...$500...whew...
