He came in opening morning in Illinois and bedded 30 yards from my stand with no clear shot.
Must have at least 14 points and massive girth as I watched him for over an hour. Main beams are coke cans with about a 4" drop tine on the right. Got up and just walked away with no response at all to any calling as he walked away. This pic was taken in September before season opened and I had to zoooom in alittle to make it the way it is. Would you shoot him in his bed if it was a clear shot? Were would you aim? Would he try and duck or jump?

Id shoot him in his bed for sure. Id take a shot at the boiler room with a bow. If I was close enough and had a rifle I might take a neck shot. He cant really duck if hes lying down except for maybe his head. Its too early for calls right now and he didnt get that bg by being stupid andthats why he walked away.

I agree ...if your going to try and make a shot in that situation on a buck like that you either want a clean kill or a clean miss ...neck shot would be the shot.
