Too much gear?

RE: Too much gear?
Hmmm...wonder if I am going to carry to much this year.I am going hunting in the U.P. of Michigan
first aid kit
grunter/rattle bag
deer drag
bino's
emergency stuff, fire starter etc
hand warmers
head light
small flash light
2 knives
water/snacks
compass
GPS
extra ammo
shooting sticks
TP
digital camers
scent spray
gun
This does not include what I am wearing like jacket, bibs, gloves, etc.
I will also have a small blind to set up with a chair and possibly a heater.
We ride into the woods on quads and then walk in deeper from there.
I should actually put it all on this weekend and see what I am getting myself into here. This will be our first year hunting in the U.P.
Good luck to all this year.

RE: Too much gear?
Sounds like a normal load to me...
I am in the military, so I understand where your friend is comming from. Instead of a L.B.E or L.B.V. I use a cammelback hydration system that is kind of like a backpack. Carries everything I need and a supply of water to boot.
