I got this buck last weekend during Illinois youth hunt.
It grossed 142.

I shot him with a Remington 870 with a aim point at 80 yards. Hit it in the neck. We took pictures when we got home and changed cloths, forgot to take the camera to the field.

I dunno' about only killing one deer like that, after all, you're in Illinois, and they've got some big bucksbecause of their QDM (Quality Deer Management)program. So, I wouldn't give up just yet,lol, next season, justkeep your eyes peeled, and you might find a nicer buck than that, after all, no one knows what they'll come across in their field.
