I was bow hunting tonight and it was dusk. There was hardly any wind, but a small breeze. My stand is about 10-12 feet up and I was busted by 2-3 deer prolly 50 yards away. The cover I've been hunting is thick with a few open fields near by. Should I go back tomorrow morning/night or wait a couple days to hunt thissame area? What would anyone here do? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't hunt it for 3 or 4 days. Also take note of what the wind was and don't hunt it with that wind, even if it was a light breeze. And get off the ground a little more.

A couple other things. I'm somewhat limited on this property as it's 15 acres of very thick cover as stated above. There is marginal deer movement on the property. I can't get higher than I am because a lack of tall sturdy trees.

50 yards away in thick cover, sounds like they winded you. It is imperative that you hunt the wind.

I'd go right back. I have hunted squirrel dogs in the same woods as deer where we walk all over the woods leaving scent everywhere and can still go out the same day and get close to deer. I think it can depend on the deer in the area and what they are already adjusted to. Are there homes and vehicles and people nearby? Is there anywhere else besides this 15 acres where the deer can go for cover, or are they "locked" into those woods? I would go back and find out.

The deer have plenty of room to roam. My neighbor has hunting land with 250 acres then there is a place next door to me of about 250 acres where hunting isn't allowed. They have plenty of other places to go if they need.

Defenitely get some good cover scent because its sounds like they must have winded you - unless you were jumping up and down in the stand waving your arms in the air. Make sure and take care of the scent before you go back because they will start staying out of the area if you keep getting winded.
