When hunting scent elimination is crucial. Seeing as most of our body heat escapes from our head, the heat and mositure also carries our scent. Put a liitlle baking soda inside of your hat or cap and you will greatly reduce moisture and odor.

When stand hunting, movement is critical. A good theory is, if you see the deer, it has probably already seen you. Try to use as little movement as possible when the animal is looking in your direction. When you are confident that it will not make out your movements, that is the time to get in position on the animal.

wind...make sure you are in the right position so the wind is blowingin your face. if you have to hunt in a position where the wind is blowing your sent towards the deer make sure you use scent cover.

Deer will often flick their tail before lifting their head when it is down, so when stalking deer make sure to watch their tail as it is usually a good indicator to freeze.

Preparation + Opportunity = Success.
