A deer lick that works!
I have used and been suckered into buying lots of hunting attractants and supplements over the years. I dont get to hunt very often and have debated the ethics of even using anything, but have come to the conclusion I need all the help I can get because of the time I dont get in the field. I run a sporting goods store and see lots of new items but got introduced to one last year I really thought was a great idea. It wasa hard cooked deer lick that the maker claimed lasted lots longer than any of the gels, liquids, mineral blocks ect... I was skeptical but helped them because it really was a pretty impressive idea. I tried them myself and was dissapointed with the results until I put a game cam on the block screwed into the tree. I found the deer came back to it and licked it down daily. Has anyone had good results off the hard cooked deer lick called Fusion? I like it, reminded me of the peanut butter jar my dad used to do on the trees in Missouri. Lasts lots longer though. I like that its a small company too, trying to make it in the world of giants!

RE: A deer lick that works!
I love Gander Mountain and know lots of them across the country carry it. If they dont I would ask them to get it! I think Cabelas has it on-line and Sportsmans Guide also carry it. Product is called Fusion deer lick. I have used lots of products with varied success but really liked the results and unique nature of this one....

I used to use the buck jams myself and liked the response to it. I just didnt like the fact that hogs, coons, and other critters were licking it up as well. I had good success with the buck jams several years ago in Brownwood, Texas. I had several 140-150 class deer coming into it. I got introduced to the Fusion lick and like the fact its hard cooked and controlled consumption which means it doesnt seep into the ground and can be screwed into a post or tree where hogs cant get to it. The persimmon flavor is doing great for me this year. Have already shot my limit of doesoff the Fusion licks. Waiting on a big buck now. Its been a couple weeks since I have seen any bucks in groups, maybe its getting close :) to go time.

Guys, you need to look at the new product Big River Wildlife has come out with, its a hard cooked block that attachs to any tree or stump and its made of peanut butter and everyone knows how deer love peanut butter..
www.bigriverwildlife.com is the website...Thanks George |
RE: A deer lick that works!
Big River, I have a brother and Dad in Arkansas and they have tried your product. Neither of them thought it even compared to the Fusion buck licks, it fell apart and didnt last nearly as long... they tried it to do a comparison, and they didnt think there was one. Sorry! Ill stick with the Fusion deer licks I can buy from Gander Mtn, Cabelas, Sportsmans... I tried the new persimmon flavor and have had good success getting does on them, even though they have plenty to eat right now. Thanks though.
