Default PA 8-point

I've attached a link to see the pictures of my 8-pointer I took in Bucks County on the opening day of gun season (took him with my bow). He was bedded 25 yards from me after first light. I tired of waiting for him to get up and feared another hunter that was cold or hungry might spook him leaving the woods. So at 10:30 I started to stalk toward him. It took an hour to go 15 yards on the frozen leaves (potato chips), but I got within 10 yards before putting an arrow through his neck. It was then that I realized that he had a broken leg and wasn't going anywhere...a trophy just the same. Enjoy the pictures!

Nice buck. Don't kid yourself. That broken leg wasn't going to keep him in one spot. They can all boggie on 3 without missing a step.

Nice buck Bill! And I agree with Davidmil, he might have been slowed up a bit, but one bum wheel won't keep him in one spot.

Thats a heckuva buck for heavily hunted Bucks county.

man thats a nice PA buck...id have to call you nuts for taking a bow out in our gun season though! lol...thats a pretty good accomplishment to take a nice buck like that in PA rifle season..all the deer i seen the first day were spooked except the very first one we seen right before we could see...the doe i shot was with a bunch of others and they were moving good and hard when they came through...the pressure is crazy...i couldnt imagine stalking a deer on the first day of buck season...expessially this year..i duno about over there but in the NW we had about 4 inches of snow and everything stuck out like a sore thumb..and every little twig cracked when it was bumped...congrats to you!

Nice deer, congrats on the nice shot. Like someone said before they can get up and go with 3 legs.
