I seen my first droptine buck this winter in my backyardand he was huge. His rack was real tall and he had good mass. Hopefully I see him this year and maybe get a shot at him.

I've personally taken a drop time buck, not a huge drop...but a drop is a drop...there to hard to come by to get picky about it. Its on theleft main beam..

I have a property that I purchased and have developed that has those geneticson it however..about 7 years ago, during the rut, a buck chased a doe across the road. He stopped right in the middle of the road. I was only about 10 yards from him. He was caught up in the headlights. He was a 17 point with 2 BIG drops, both on the right side...he was lacking mass, but who cares, still extremely impressive. He was chasing the doe onto the property that I would later buy, and he's one of the reasons I wanted it. I know as of right now I have a buck that's about 23 inches wide and has one big drop on the right side and another buck that has at least 18 non-typicalscorable points residing on that property. Also, just the other day, as I was glassing, I had a monster 8 with a bunch of non-typical junk on the bases come out into the corn. Hopefully, this year one of my hunters will be blessed with the presence of one of these bucks in their sights.

I have not shot a droptine buck but my father did. The deer is perfectly symmetrical which is very rare for a non-typical. He scored 156 7/8's. In 1999 when he was shot he was the second largest in ontario at the time he was scored. And a bonus was that he was shot very close to our farm. Since then we have seen deer with the same genetics as him. Here are a fewpics:
