Default Dad's Buck

A picture of my dad's buck that he took November 25, 2001.

9 points, 204 lbs. 310 yd. shot with his remington 700 BDL. He took this buck about 2 weeks after he missed a 12 point. Heres the link:

You're right, a very long shot. I was 10 yrs old; when my dad went to shoot this buck, I put my head down, closed my eyes and covered my ears. (I was afraid of his .270). He swears up and down he shot free-hand, but since I didn't see it, I don't know if I believe it

The buck has alot of points, and boy is that a small rack, but I bet that must've felt good, harvesting a big one with a fair amount of meat on him.

What state did he shoot it in? Just wondering since he used a high powered rifle. Nice looking deer, and what a shot! Never hunted big game with a rifle, has to be a unique experience.

Actually, this buck was taken on my property in SC. An unusual shot for this state. I don't know exactly how long this field is, but it's more than 300. I can show ya on google earth if you want to see the field.
