As far as people putting other family member's tags on their kill so that they can continue to hunt.............legal some places and not others - that is understood.

But I believe in the end it is good for the management of the herd. The folks issuing the tags are issuing the amount of tags that they would like to see harvested to balance the herd. So this helps keep the herd at a healthy level.

Or am I mistaken?

Then to people heading out after sun up...........

Lots of good reasons posted by Jeff. But occasionally we will do it. Let all the guys get out early and have the late guy get out and kinda "still hunt" to his stand with the goal of it ultimately turning into a little half-hearted mini drive. You would be suprised how many times we bag deer as they walk away from sounds they don't like.

my biggest pet peeve is when some other hunter(s) come stolling in by your stand while your there. They see you and think it an invitation to come strolling up for a chat.......then they say......see any nice deer. Ya buddy a few 8points kicking around maybe you should pull up a chair.....
bunch of dumb@$$$

AGREED!!!

I had a guy last season walking around 1/2 hour after sunrise, sees me from 100 yards away and heads my direction. When he was about 20 yards away, he shouts "Hey, ya seen deer any yet?"

"No and with your dumb@$$ screaming at me I doubt I'll be seeing any more in the immediate future."

Worst parts: this was opening morning and due to work/school schedule I only get to deer hunt 3-4 days a year.

Ironic part was that the following Saturday at almost that exact time I shot my doe.

People who tell mehow to hunt because theyhave the best way of hunting, and exactly how to bring in that big buck, yet they are also the same person who shoots the least and smallest deer.

another pet peeve of mine is hunters who walk to their stands after daylight. i just don't get it, i guess some people are scared of the dark. i'm usially in my stand atleast 45 minutes before daybreak. this gives the area time to calm back down after walking threw it.

Why would you care about this..
What do you mean you don't get it...
I can think of lots of reasons.....
Maybe they got a flat tire on the way out,
Maybe the guy or gal pulled a 15 hour grave-yard shift and went out hunting afterwords..
Maybe their kids changed their minds and now want to come....
Maybe they had to drive by to pick up their 80yr old father or Grand father who is as fast at getting around as he once did..
People that show up later are just as dedicated to hunting as any body who showes up 45 min before light..
Hunters who show up late for these reasons I mentioned are way way more dedicated than the hunter who couldn't bebothered because it was too late in the day to go.....
imo, still no excuse. when your hunting public land and you know there are are hunters around...there is absolutely no reason to ruin other hunters hunts because you woke up late or run out of gas or had to go back home because you forgot something, etc. i never walk in the woods late out of respect for other hunters.

The guy that has 200 acres to hunt but puts his stand as close to the property line as he can and you only have 20 acres to hunt.

I have too many to list.

-People "stealing" your spot on public land.
-Deer have antlers, not horns.
-People who don't scout and wonder why they aren't seeing any game.
-Road hunters.
-People who say that "meat hunt" but let doe after doe walk by just to shoot a 2yr old 4pt.

man. I will be here all night.[:@]
Haha... If I had a nickel for every hunter who said "horns" instead of "antlers"...That's always been one of my pet peeves as well, so I notice. And it drives me NUTS!!!
