RE: Ever heard of a half-albino deer?
The area we hunt in North Central Maryland seems to have a lot of the pie-bald "trait". Three of the 4 I shot in Maryland had whit spots mixed in along the edges of the brown hair.
I believe it is more of a genetic trait, than a "touch of albino"!

I missed a piebald spike last year w/ my bow on the second to last day of the season. I did'nt see it once this past season. Maybe its dead and then again maybe its not.

I've got a doe that hangs around my property that's white on the bottom and half way up the sides and she's the normal brown on top.
She reminds me of them ol' WW2 seaplanes that have the same coloration.

RE: Ever heard of a half-albino deer?
I live in Louisville Ky, and in one of my hunting spots I have a family of 3 piebalds that come past my stand almost everytime I sit in it. In november after I tagged out I took my video camera out and taped a 160 class buck following one of the piebalds and not letting her get more than 20 yards away from him. This is a picture of the piebald I got off my camtrakker and the buck that was following her.

RE: Ever heard of a half-albino deer?
I saw one was shot here near St. Cloud. Although they called it a white whitetail doe. Not a piebald or albino. Had never heard the term white whitetail before. Dang thing looked like a calf!
I've seen one albino and one pieblad up here. Have never shot one though.
