Some deer processors save the hides and refrigerate or freeze them to sell. I don't know who buys them, probably glove manufacturers or the like. If there is a processor near you, they might tell you who buys their hides or at least might know of a buyer.

There's a buyer in Wisconsin called W.B. Place Co. I think they are located in Hartford. Maybe they have a web site.

They buy pelts or process them for your use at a fee.

In ND most places that buy scrap iron buy all types of hides and furs.

EVERY YEAR AFTER HUNTING SEASON CLOSES THERE IS A RECYCLING CENTER, IN SPOKANE THAT TAKES IN THE UNWANTED DEER HIDES AND THEY GIVE YOU A PAIR OF DEER HIDE GLOVES IN RETURN

Hey Robb could you get some details on that place in Spokane? Like would they take hides in exchange from out of state? I can always use another set of gloves.

I can't help with the original question, up here there is a "hats for hides" program, you can trade a hide for a hunter orange cap from the ministry, I'm pretty sure the hides go to local natives for arts, crafts, and clothing.

TAZ I CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE PLACE BUT I'LL FIND OUT FOR YOU, I DON'T SEE WHY THEY WOULDN'T TAKE A HIDE FORM OUT OF STATE AS LONG AS YOU HAD THE DEER TAG ATTACHED TO THE HIDE.
