Let me get this straight, you know "Jesus is the Christ", but do you KNOW Jesus Christ? As far as the "strange notions" that people have about how "Christians" should and should not act, MY "strange notions", as you call them, come from the BIBLE. It is a great book that might want to read some time. It will sure clear up those "strange notions" about Christians.
Yes I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Do you?

No man on earth can look at another man and make that judgement. Only God make the judgements you are talking about. If you say you have a relationship with him, even though from my perspective, you do not, who am I to say you don't? Only God knows your heart. Its your salvation you have to work out thru fear and trembling. You can't work thru mine and I can't work thru yours. Even though your trying too. It would be poor and silly for me to look at you and tell you, you need to read the Bible. Maybe you know it better than me. Maybe you don't. I assure you, I have been thru it several times.

I gave you ananswer on what a Christian is or is not. I explained that we are all sinners. And you "oh great retreieveman" do not have authority to look at someone and say they are or they are not. You as a mere man are not perfect, as I am not either. So you do not have the authority to look at any man and put awieght on his sin as your trying to do. You don't have the authority to sitand say your sin is not as bad as my sin.

Does this make sense to you? I see you want all Christians to be lumped into one belief, one action, one way. Thats not what the Bible says. Paul in 1 Corintheans explains to us that each of our spiritual gifts are unique. Yours is not the same as mine, it maybe simular.

Sure, I have a little fun with a few on here. But, man, its the internet. Don't take it so hard, and get your feelings hurt so easy.

I think your way off base. (as usual).
Am I? Sorry, BC, but I think it IS putting your ethics for sale. Please explain to me how it's not.
Your poll only asked if people would hunt anyway. It did not ask whether they thought hunting behind a high fence was ethical or not. I take it you assumed we all thought high fencing was unethical, unless the term "ethics police" was meant to exclude those who don't?

I responded that I would hunt anyway. I see nothing unethical with a high-fence, and support a landowner's right to do so. No sacrificing ethics here, because I don't find the activity unethical to begin with.

You are the one casting judgement here. Whether it is ethics or Christianity, you want to appear to have all the answers, and you do a pretty good job at bluffing your way through the ethics discussions. Christianity, on the other hand, is not your strong suit. I have been a born again Christian for 29 years and sure don't have all the answers myself, but so much of your last post was nonsense. I have been through several sermans on spiritual gifts and have never heard a single pastor mention "internet heckler" as one of the spiritual gifts.

This the "deer hunting" section, but you appear to only like the controversial and vague topics. If you are really a hunter, why not post a picture in the "biggest buck" thread or something that is truly hunting related. Here is mine. This is my 2004 Oklahoma muzzleloader buck that I killed on family land in Alfalfa county. He gross scored 178".

I have looked at some of your other posts, and for a man CLAIMING to be a "christian", you are a very poor example.

Okay, what would you do if you prepaid $3000 for an all-expense paid weeklong whitetail rut hunt in the Texas Hill Country, on private ranch. Non-refundable, with NO EXCEPTIONS.

Now you get there, only to find that the 18,000 acre ranch is completely enclosed in a 12-foot fence. You obviously had no idea that this was a high-fence hunt, but there's no turning back. You're already there with gun-in-hand and tags prepaid.

What do you do?
_________________________________________________
EDIT: Okay, now that we're bickering about the size of the fence, and asking ahead of time, let's eliminate those two factors.

Pretend that you DID call ahead of timeand ask "Is this a 100% fair chase hunt?" And they replied, "Yes, it is 100% fair chase."

Also, let's pretend that it's a 3000 acre pen instead of an 18,000 acre enclosure. Does that change your opinion?
Nope. To me, the height of the fence really doesn't matter. There are several options to restrict the movement of deer and/or enhance the odds of making a kill. A fence is only one of them.

If the fence is such that I feel it restricts the ability of the deer to elude me, Iwouldn't do it, regardless. But I'm pretty confident I could get my money back.

Judgement cast #1. You knew by sniffing thru my profile I am a self professed Christian, but you asked the question anyway.

Judgement Cast #2 Can you honestly say you are not casting judgment again? Who are you lifting up here? Your ego?

Judgement Cast #3So lets hear you deny this isn't a judgement? This is priceless.

You are the one casting judgement here.

I would say one day, all our Christianity discussions are not going to be strong suit to God. Reminds me of 1 Corinthians 3. Awesome chapter explains it so well.
1 Corinthians 3
18Let no man deceive himself If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.
19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God For it is written, "He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS";
20and again, "THE LORD KNOWS THE REASONINGS of the wise, THAT THEY ARE USELESS."
21So then let no one boast in men For all things belong to you,

Christianity, on the other hand, is not your strong suit.
Man, its the internet, take a chill pill. This is what we do.People ask, we give opinions. People are going to disagree. I don't drive deer. I don't like driving deer. Thats my opinion. I don't think people are putting thier ethics up for sale in his example. This is what people do on a forum. Duh

Show me what part was nonsense. Point out one thing. Thats awesome that you are born again. I am really happy for you. Another one in heaven.

Come on man, get over yourself. Don't get your feelings hurt so easy. Your a grown man for crying out loud. Nobody said me having a little fun gettin you in a tizzy was a gift.

Just go thru my post. Its pretty well all I think about is hunting. And shooting. Even though I really don't use a rifle for hunting. Mostly bows however. Now, remember we were talking a truely hunting situation, when YOU brought up that I was a poor example of a Christian. So actually, your the one not on topic here. Lets hear your excuse on this?

3000 acres is still alot, heck, our lease in Fayateville, TN is only 100 acres, and we killed 22 deer last season! Not to mention how me, my uncle, and a friend all tagged a turkey on opening day.
Anybody ever wonder why someone would put in a high fence?

Why don't you two take your bickering to PM or do you both need attention?
