I carry one.
what kind/caliber? 44mag redhawk or 45 auto colt. When I get the money Im getting a 454 casual.
your reason? I still hunt and hunt from ground blinds. When a wild hog gets you cornered, it is a good thing to have. You cant whip around a rifle very easily. I also like to have one for those times you get right up on a deer and cant move much to get in position to shoot. I have shot a few with my pistols this way. I would have lost a few trying to position my rifle.
have you ever been in a situation to use it? Yes, when needing to shoot in tight areas. What got me carrying one was when a good friend of mine was cornered by a hog while turkey hunting. The hog rushed him and thank goodness he had his 357. We didnt get a turkey that day but we had ham.
