buck fight over doe

Default buck fight over doe

on the way home from cutting wood 2day we saw a couple of bucks
reared up and kivking at eachother and the bigger buck won then started
folowing the doe.
it it normal for this to happen in feb?
both bucks had already shed thier antlers.

Hard to know why they fight. If they were still producing testosterone I don't think they would have lost their antlers.

just saw 6 deer in my grandparents back yard.
i was gonna take some pics but a jeep drove by and scared them away.[:@]

Just asking how'd you know they were bucks.I've seen severe deer kick at each other. Maybe some food there?

um well they had male parts and the one of the bucks tryed to umm hump the doe.
unless it was a very screwed up doe it was a buck.

you must have been really close to see those male partsI dont know if deer do it but I've seem male dogs hump male dogs and even female dogs try to hump female dog
