RE: Global Warming

Why don't we ever here that Antartica ice packs are growing?

Because it doesn't fit the political agenda.;)

This is just like all the other scare tactics used by the left in the past that have all proven to be a bunch of,well you know.[8D]

And you did mention the antarctic in your post, that was why I posted.

I find it very funny how a persons own political views skew their point of view? I just don't understand how a person can be so biased as too make themselves blind to whats going on in the world. Ok great your a right winged conservative religous freak who believes the world is going through natural cycles or your a lefty hippy atheistwho believes we need to save the planet and start an all vegan diet. I don't know how many times I read on the this board about lefties or righties. Its all bull****. I mean really why would a president who has both hands in the oil industry and recieved millions of dollars from the auto industry want to reveal anything negative about the planet...especially since we are fighting a war about oil? Or how about the Democrats trying to show the American public how much we are destroying our earth but when political debates come they get sucked into Abortion, Gay marriage, Flag burning and all the other hoopla that doesn't matter. I mean wake up people. I trust my government as much as I trust Robert Downy Jr. with crack. Your right this should be in the political forum.

RE: Global Warming

loudr... - Are you finished with you bigoted rant against anyone and everyone who disagrees with you yet? It seems you've got so much invested in this "global warming" argument now, you're either unable or unwilling even to consider the multitude of evidence that directly contradicts these tenants of faith in the global warming dogma.
You are ignoring that not all the Earth is warming, that eliminates the "global" part of the equation. Most of the 1.8 F degree average increase in temperature of the last 120 years happened in the first 80 of those years. The rate of average increase in the past 40 has happened at a slower rate, when these higher amounts of so called "green house gases" came about. So, that brings into question the cause. It may not be primarily man made any changes that are happening.
The northern hemisphere is slightly warmer on average, but recent evidence is that the southern hemisphere is actually cooling slightly. So, even the general “global” and "warming" trend is now in question.
You and others like you want to spend trillions of dollars and yes that's what it would take to reduce the gases you claim are so bad. For every billion that is spent on this wild adventure of reducing said gases, we KNOW that x number of people will die earlier because those dollars aren't spent on things they otherwise would have been. Those things like investments in infrastructure (e.g. hospitals) improving many people’s lives and extending quality of life, education, things that we know do help people to have longer better lives.
So, please drop the bigoted comments, take a breath and use your ears more than that the orifice in the middle and you too might learn something new.

Here's some reading that attempts to explain some of the behavior or environmental alarmists and the way they react to anyone who questions their beliefs.

RE: Global Warming

Yes MinnFinn, I'm done, but you are right I would like to spend billions or trillions of dollars on improving the planet than spending billions of dollars on oil driven war. How's that? Done. Happy hunting.
